Leading footwear manufacturer EMU Australia and WaterAid are working together to kick start safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects in 15 communities across Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.
EMU Australia has teamed up with WaterAid to support access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world's poorest and most marginalized communities.
An Australian manufacturer of premium women’s footwear EMU Australia embraces natural materials, craftsmanship and quality, to create world-leading products.
EMU Australia's initial contribution will help kick start safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects in 15 communities across Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.
In Papua New Guinea, EMU Australia's partnership with WaterAid will impact 12 communities and villages, providing 12 x 1,000 gallon rainwater tanks to the remote villages (one per village) in the West Sepik Province.
The partnership in Timor-Leste will impact three communities/villages with sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
WaterAid is excited to work with EMU Australia to raise awareness for these communities through a variety of events, promotions and campaigns.
Due to environmental, cultural and geologic factors no project is the same and a "one size fits all solution" cannot be implemented. EMU Australia supports WaterAid in working towards a long term and sustainable solution together with each community to meet their needs.
