1. You helped secure Global Goal 6 on water and sanitation

After three years of campaigning and hundreds of thousands of petition signatures, you helped us achieve something truly historic in 2015: a Global Goal dedicated to water and sanitation and the chance of a better future for our planet, and everybody on it.

2. You helped mothers and midwives deliver life

Thanks to your generous support to our end-of-year campaign, WaterAid will be reaching 130,000 new and expectant mothers with clean water so that they and their midwives can safely deliver healthy babies.

3. You helped us get emergency aid to Nepal

When two devastating earthquakes struck Nepal, we launched an emergency appeal – and you did everything you could to help. Thanks to you, we were able to distribute thousands of water purification tablets and hygiene kits to those who were affected.

4. You gave a shit

On World Toilet Day, you showed that you #giveashit and created and shared custom poop emojis to help us raise awareness about the 1 in 3 people worldwide who lack adequate sanitation.

7. You helped us stay on top

Because of supporters like you, WaterAid was awarded 4 stars (the highest ranking available) by Charity Navigator for the third consecutive year, and we were named the #1 water and sanitation non-profit by Philanthropedia.

8. You helped us reach over 220 people an hour with safe water

In 2014-15, we reached 2 million people with safe water, 3.1 million people with sanitation and 8.2 million people with hygiene – none of which would have been possible without the incredible support of people like you. Which is why we made you this:
