Big National Ceilidh
16 October 2010
The Big National Ceilidh is a worldwide ceilidh or barn dance that will take place on October 16 2010.
This unique event will unite the world in support of WaterAid as thousands of people across the globe dance to raise funds and awareness to make a difference to the lives of those living without safe water and sanitation.
The money your event raises really will improve people’s lives. You will help communities in Africa, Asia and the Pacific work with WaterAid on safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects that not only improve people’s health but benefit their education and livelihoods also.
October 2009 saw thousands up and down the UK dancing to the sounds of traditional folk music to raise funds for WaterAid. Now the event is going global!
We would be delighted if you would join us and host a fundraising céilidh for WaterAid in your area! We already have interest from Hong Kong, Beijing, Bolivia, the UK and the USA! Please join in the fun and help us to change lives.
This year's Big National Céilidh takes place on Saturday 16 October. However, if you would like to hold your céilidh on a different date, you can still get involved.
