WaterAid international
The WaterAid family is currently made up of Member organizations in the UK, Australia, America and Sweden.

The British charity WaterAid was established in 1981 by the water industry there. In 1991 HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, became WaterAid's first president, a role he continues to this day.
WaterAid in America and WaterAid in Australia were both formed in 2004 and WaterAid in Sweden followed in 2009.
WaterAid in America is an independent, US tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization with offices in New York City and Washington, DC. WaterAid in America shares and supports WaterAid’s global mission and vision.
WaterAid in America mobilizes financial and other resources in the US to support work undertaken in the field by WaterAid’s country program offices.
WaterAid in America also undertakes research, outreach, and public education activities throughout the USA to raise awareness about the global water and sanitation crisis and its solutions.
WaterAid international
WaterAid international was officially formed in 2010 as part of WaterAid's development into a truly global organization and is an integral part of achieving our ambitious global strategy.
We believe we will have more impact as a global federation of innovative, independent organizations working to fulfil our vision of a world where everyone has access to safe water and sanitation.
The role of WaterAid international is to:
- Co-ordinate the delivery and review of our Global Strategy to advance our mission
- Facilitate collective global decision making, co-ordination and shared standards between WaterAid Members
- Support planned growth and open the potential for more WaterAid Members
